THE NORKK DISCLAIMER
What NIA Can Read—and What It Does With It
Read the disclosure, then acknowledge it at the bottom to continue to EVE Online.
NIA uses EVE Online’s ESI to connect information from your character with its maps, routes, fleet tools, trading workspace, and corporation tools. You choose whether to approve that access on EVE Online’s own authorization screen.
NIA never receives your EVE username or password. It cannot control your character, move your ship, transfer ISK, change orders, or move assets. The permissions described here are read-only.
Two Separate Connections
Your normal NIA sign-in
Normal sign-in requests six personal read permissions for the character you select. These power your live location, ship, online status, fleet context, character wallet, and personal market orders.
Fitting Lab skill connection
Opening Fitting Lab requests two additional read permissions for that character's trained skills and training queue. NIA asks only when you use Fitting Lab, then returns you to the fitting workspace.
Optional corporation connection
Corporation access is separate. After signing in, an authorized corporation character may connect corporation ESI for structures, fuel, assets, wallets, POCOs, reinforcement notifications, and member-count tracking.
Connecting your character does not automatically connect your corporation. Corporation permissions appear on a second EVE authorization screen only when somebody chooses to connect the corporation.
What NIA Offers
PvP and operations
Roaming leads, fleet analysis, gate-camp detection, operations, watchlists, target activity, alerts, and timelines built from public combat evidence and the private fleet context you authorize.
Maps and navigation
The New Eden Atlas, system dossiers, sovereignty, tactical map overlays, route-risk analysis, saved-route monitoring, and capital jump planning.
Corporation command
Corporation-owned structures, visible fuel, searchable assets and their locations, wallet history, POCO income and costs, reinforcement alerts, and retained change history.
Industry and markets
Public market orders and contracts, hub comparisons, trade opportunities, production chains, material sourcing, PI chains, facility indices, and build-versus-buy calculations.
Public Intelligence and Private Data
NIA’s public intelligence uses public or broadly available information such as killmails, market orders, contracts, sovereignty, system geography, security status, industry indices, and static EVE data.
Your authorized character location, ship, online status, fleet, skills, training queue, wallet, and orders are private account information. NIA does not add that information to its public intelligence map or make it searchable by unrelated users.
Corporation records are stored by corporation. Being in the same corporation does not grant access by itself. The character who completes that corporation’s first successful ESI sync becomes its initial corporation administrator and can grant page-by-page access to authenticated members of that corporation.
Corporation administrator access is separate from NIA website administration. A corporation administrator can manage access only for their own corporation. NIA Admins operate the service and manage ordinary account access. Site Devs have the highest website access and may inspect stored account and corporation information for development, operation, and troubleshooting. The Friend label does not grant administrative or private-data access.
Personal Permissions Requested at Sign-In
Current location
esi-location.read_location.v1
Reads the selected character’s current solar system for maps, routes, distance, and nearby-risk context.
Current ship
esi-location.read_ship_type.v1
Reads the selected character’s current ship type and ship name.
Online status
esi-location.read_online.v1
Reads whether the selected character is online.
Fleet information
esi-fleets.read_fleet.v1
Reads fleet information available to the selected character. Depending on that character’s fleet role, ESI may return members, wings, squads, fleet roles, locations, and ships.
Character wallet
esi-wallet.read_character_wallet.v1
Reads the selected character’s wallet balance, journal entries, and transactions for the private trading workspace.
Character market orders
esi-markets.read_character_orders.v1
Reads the selected character’s active and historical market orders. NIA cannot create, change, or cancel them.
Fitting Lab Permissions
These two private permissions are requested only when the signed-in character opens Fitting Lab. They are not required for ordinary NIA sign-in.
Character skills
esi-skills.read_skills.v1
Reads the selected character's trained skill levels and skill points so Fitting Lab can apply that pilot's requirements and bonuses.
Training queue
esi-skills.read_skillqueue.v1
Reads the selected character's current skill queue so Fitting Lab can show relevant training progress. It cannot add, remove, or rearrange skills.
Optional Corporation Permissions
A corporation connection currently requests nine additional read permissions. EVE will show these separately when an authorized corporation character connects or reauthorizes the corporation.
Corporation structures
esi-corporations.read_structures.v1
Reads corporation-owned Upwell structures, their systems, states, services, and reinforcement settings.
Corporation POS towers
esi-corporations.read_starbases.v1
Reads corporation-owned control towers, their system and moon locations, operating state, timers, settings, and current fuel-bay quantities.
Corporation assets
esi-assets.read_corporation_assets.v1
Reads corporation assets and their inventory locations. NIA stores this inventory so authorized users can search it, monitor fuel, estimate value, and identify changes.
Accessible structure names
esi-universe.read_structures.v1
Resolves names and systems for player-owned structures the authorizing character is permitted to access. This helps turn numeric asset-location IDs into useful locations.
Corporation wallets
esi-wallet.read_corporation_wallets.v1
Reads corporation wallet divisions, journal entries, and market transactions. NIA retains imported entries so corporation financial history remains available after EVE stops returning older pages. Market transactions can also identify which structure earned a service payment.
Corporation industry jobs
esi-industry.read_corporation_jobs.v1
Reads corporation industry jobs so NIA can match industry-related structure income to the facility where the job ran. The jobs are retained because EVE only returns completed corporation jobs for a limited period.
Corporation customs offices
esi-planets.read_customs_offices.v1
Reads corporation-owned POCOs, their systems, tax settings, and reinforcement windows.
Relevant notifications
esi-characters.read_notifications.v1
Checks the authorizing character’s notifications for POCO attack and reinforcement events. NIA filters this feed and does not store unrelated notifications.
Corporation member tracking
esi-corporations.track_members.v1
Lets NIA identify current corporation members for member counts and join-or-leave changes. Although ESI may return additional tracking fields, NIA’s corporation history currently keeps the member identity and change state it needs, not a private movement log of corporation members.
Storage and History
NIA stores the current private character and fleet state needed by live features. Limited private fleet observations may be kept for up to 24 hours when a feature needs to compare recent changes. They are not used as public intelligence.
Personal wallet and market information is used by your private trading workspace and is not built into a public financial profile.
Corporation connections are shared corporation records. NIA stores corporation assets, wallet entries and market transactions, industry jobs, POCO records, structures, alerts, compact history snapshots, corporation access assignments, and an audit of permission changes. Wallet entries, industry attribution records, and change history are intentionally retained so corporation reporting continues after EVE’s live history rolls over.
Disconnecting or revoking a corporation token stops new ESI retrieval. Existing shared corporation history may remain for accounting, audit, and continuity unless it is deliberately removed by an authorized administrator.
Who Can Access Private Information
NIA administrators may access stored information when necessary to operate the service, troubleshoot a reported problem, investigate abuse, or respond to a security issue.
Ordinary users cannot search for another user’s private location, fleet, wallet, or market orders. Corporation users cannot open another corporation’s private records. Corporation members receive no corporation-data access until a corporation administrator grants it. Access checks are applied on the server, not left to hidden buttons in the browser.
Revoking Access
You can revoke NIA through EVE Online’s Authorized Applications page. Revocation prevents NIA from retrieving new private information with that authorization.
Revocation does not erase public killmails or public activity obtained from CCP, zKillboard, or other public sources. It also does not automatically remove content you deliberately created, such as settings, watchlists, routes, operations, or shared corporation accounting records.
Estimates, Alerts, and AI
NIA combines direct calculations with optional AI-assisted interpretation. Routes, distances, market calculations, production chains, activity patterns, and alerts can still be delayed, incomplete, or wrong because the underlying information is delayed, incomplete, or changes after it is collected.
NIA provides evidence and estimates. You remain responsible for decisions made in game.
Independent Project
